R&D Manager
About The Position
EVIGENCE is a start-up company with best-in-class solution for freshness monitoring and indication. We provide data on freshness as never seen before, leveraging our patent protected sensors and app, allowing optimal use of fresh products. Above all – our mission is to improve food quality, reduce food waste and make our world a better place!
We’re seeking an experienced R&D manager to join and lead our R&D team. To be part of the Core technology development and lead the development of a new product. The role reports to the S-VP R&D & Operation.
Areas of Responsibility:
· Lead and manage the Chemistry R&D team.
· Develop new products and technologies according to the company's needs.
· Support, stabilize and standardize the TTI production.
· Actively seek for new technologies in the field.
· Responsible for NPI – New Product Introduction to production from the R&D side.
· Support R&D projects at group level participating in meetings and sharing technical information with partners, suppliers and potential customers.
· Manage the R&D labs and the chemical lab. Work closely with the QC team and provide them with all technology aspect Work closely with the Commercial team on new and existing projects.
· Support with applications to the Israel Innovation Authority grant and any other sources the company is engaged with.
Requirements
· Minimum 4+ years of experience in leading an R&D team
· PhD in chemistry\ Chemical Engineering\ Materials\ or another relevant scientific\ technological field.
· MBA – an advantage.
· Knowledge in experiments design and statistical methods. Self-directed and creative. must be able to work effectively in a flexible and multi-disciplinary team environment.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; broad technological experience.
· Creative thinker and agile state of mind – on a personal and professional level.
· Ability to work in a dynamic ever-changing environment.
· Creativity, with excellent ability to understand technology and how it is translated to a successful product.
· Strong presentation skills with proven record of presenting to small and large audiences.
· English – Mother tongue or equivalent language proficiency - verbal and writing – a MUST
· Experience in modern industrial printing – an advantage
