R&D Lab Technician
About The Position
Evigence, a start-up company with best-in-class technology for freshness monitoring, is seeking an R&D Lab Technician to join our team.
The R&D Lab Technician will assist the development team with materials development projects and will be responsible for performing lab formulations and testing lab/industrial samples of the materials. The successful candidate will have experience in formulations/ chemistry field and an ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform sample preparations for raw materials and materials under development.
Evaluate raw materials, finished products, and accelerated aged products with analytical and performance tests.
Record test data, observations and results using standard laboratory data calculations.
Support new products scale-up.
Communicate, document, and discuss experimental observations.
Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
Maintenance of the lab equipment, workstations and properly dispose of solvents and solvent containers.
Procure necessary raw materials, components, reagents, lab supplies to perform lab duties.
Learn and integrate into the quality system (ISO9001 standard implementation).
Follow safe lab practices and observe MSDS precautions.
Requirements
Technician or Engineer education in the fields of Chemistry/Materials/Biology/Biotechnology - Must
Working experience with Microsoft Office, Extensive knowledge of Excel -Must
English at a high level - Must.
Familiarity with Minitab - an advantage.
Ability to work under pressure and with strict deadlines.
Initiative, commitment, curiosity, and desire to learn.
High level interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and work in a team.
This is a full-time position with an option for 80% time.
Office is located in Yoqneam Ilit (sometimes material sampling is required in an external warehouse)
